Busboys and Poets, a popular restaurant and lounge with multiple locations in the DMV metropolitan area, will host the Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and Resistance at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. on January 19th.
The purpose of the ball according to the event page is to celebrate the accomplishments and successes of the past four years and the vow to continue to be the change we want the world to see.
The event boasts an extensive guest list which includes Alice Walker, Angela Davis, Van Jones, and Melissa Harris-Perry. The event will also include food, an open bar, dancing, and live musical performances.
Museum exhibits will be open during the event.
