Selena Gomez is ending her 2016 with a luxurious bang after landing a new role as the face of Coach. Gomez will appear in ads and she will also have the opportunity to design her own collection with the brand. No announcement has been made on what she will be designing.
This isn’t her first run with a luxury brand. In the Summer of 2016, Gomez was also the face of a Louis Vuitton campaign.
Selena is one of the most followed and most talked about celebs of the millennial generation. She is now the most followed person on Instagram and she is the first celebrity to reach and surpass 100 million followers on the app.
Selena Gomez has a presence and popularity that is undeniable, yet she still has a girl next door quality that sells and makes people want to know more. Yes, she is beautiful, but there is a depth to Gomez that gives her that “my IG BFF” quality. Whether she is kicking it with her BFF, Taylor Swift, emotionally singing about her breakup, or serving face via social media people are watching.
With a strong brand identity and following it is very possible that Coach won’t be Selena’s last luxury brand campaign in 2017.
