Hall of Fame Wide Receiver Jerry Rice Possibly Cheated During Career

The Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice is widely considered to be the best at his position in NFL history, but could that have been because of “stickum”?

If you don’t know stickum is a substance that athletes used to put on their gloves to help them catch better but the NFL banned it in 1981. Rice played from 1985- 2004.

On Saturday, Rice actually admitted to using stickum during his career. He stated that it was ok that he used it because “All players did it!”

All players except for Cris Carter of course who went to Twitter and expressed how he felt in a series of tweets.

Carter denied ever using stickum at any point during his playing days and stated that if Rice did use it then he cheated during his career.
