YG released his highly praised debut studio album, My Krazy Life, March 18, 2014. The album produced many hits for the Compton rapper like, “My N*ga”, “Left, Right”, and “Who Do You Love?” featuring Drake. The album also reached the number one spot on Billboard’s top rap albums chart and Billboard’s top R&B/hip hop albums chart. Basically, YG’s album was a major success!
YG was very vocal about his feelings towards his album not being selected in the Grammy nominations. YG was not alone in his feelings with other artists speaking up as well about his Grammy snub, as well as, others.
Well, YG’s fan’s are officially the realest because they went to the Grammy building and protested for YG!
YG went on Twitter to show his love and appreciation for his fans/protestors and I think that this is a proud moment in hip hop. It’s nice to see that people will still fight for the artists they support and that the people still support real hip hop!
